Both the ME-1 and the MG-1 (the annual electric and gas reports to the Iowa Utilities Board) are due April 1. However, the IUB does not have this year’s forms on its website yet so utilities can fill them out.
We suggest that you check back to the IUB site periodically for the forms’ availability. If IAMU learns of anything more regarding the status of the forms, we will pass along the information to members through the Informer.

The Customer Contribution Fund Activity Report is due to the Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) no later than September 30 via the electronic filing system. This report is required for all municipal electric and gas utilities per the Iowa Code (199 IAC 19.15(5) and 20.15(5)).
A copy of the report can be found on IAMU's website under the electric and gas regulatory calendars or by clicking HERE.
The IUB is starting to crack down on delinquent filing and will be enforcing penalties in the future. Should you have questions or need assistance in completing this report, please feel free to contact:

The Municipal Electric Utility Transfer Replacement Tax Rate Reporting Form and the Municipal Gas Utility Transfer Replacement Tax Rate Reporting Form are both due Aug. 31. The form must be filed by this date with the Iowa Department of Revenue.
IAMU has prepared suggested forms that have been used since 1999. Click below for the forms for the 2017 tax rate calculation.

Electric members: Also, it’s getting close to harvest time – a good time to consider sending your Grain Bin Notification to customers. This is an IUB-mandated notification that should be sent once a year.
