Safety & Health Services for Business

Safety training pays off – IAMU is here to help

Employees learn to avoid costly injuries

According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), $4 is returned for every $1 spent toward a safety program. Why? Because many workplace accidents are avoidable.

When employees are properly trained, they may reduce or eliminate costly accidents that often cause:

  • Loss of pride or ill-feeling in the community as a result of an accident record.
  • High medical costs and absent personnel that can be devastating to the bottom line and productivity.
  • OSHA fines and the expense of correcting violations.
  • Needless pain and suffering of the victim(s) and their family.
  • Inconvenience to the employer, employee, and immediate family.

Proper safety training is a prudent business move and really just the right thing to do. The problem is few supervisors have enough time to remain current with training techniques and changes in safety and health regulations. That’s where IAMU’s Safety Services comes in. You don’t need to be a municipal utility, either. IAMU’s Safety Services provides training for any and all businesses – both public and private.

IAMU’s team of trained and experienced safety professionals provide:

  •  An organized training format that is continuously updated.
  •  Local training at your site to reduce employees’ time away from the job, while also avoiding travel expenses.
  •  Addressing problems common to commercial and industrial workplaces, as well as office settings.
  •  Immediate answers to safety-related questions.
  •  A full library of safety and health programs and helpful guidelines.
