The Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU) office is a state-of-the-art building designed to the highest levels of energy efficiency in commercial construction. Its natural light and inviting décor make it an ideal setting for meetings and workshops. The IAMU office offers facilities to meet any meeting or presentation need.

• The auditorium is complete with the latest in audio-visual equipment and has an adjacent common area with tables and chairs for breaks and meals.
• The board room offers audio-visual equipment as well, along with plush seating and tables that can be configured is several different arrangements.
• The small conference room is ideal for meeting or presentations of four to six people.

The office is situated on a prairie adjacent to the Carney Marsh Nature Preserve and includes a 11-acre training field that can be rented as well – for display purposes, trainings, and demonstrations. The field houses IAMU’s safe city, designed to provide utility workers – electric, gas, water, and wastewater professionals – with hands-on learning opportunities; however, the field may be rented by other groups wanting to provide outdoor trainings and demonstrations. IAMU also offers its shop area adjacent to the training field for rent.  The shop is heated and cooled with restrooms.

The IAMU Office and Training Complex provides ample parking and is conveniently located on the south side of Ankeny, with easy access from Interstate 35 at the Corporate Woods Drive exit.
