The 3rd Annual Energy Conference will kick off Tuesday, November 3 with Dave Berg of Dave Berg Consulting presenting the pre-conference workshop “Understanding Impacts of Distributed Solar Generation on Cost Recovery and Rates”. Immediately following the workshop, IAMU Executive Director Troy DeJoode will host a reception. Plan on joining us for this opportunity to network with your peers.
The general conference will start Wednesday with Iowa Utilities Board Chair Geri Huser talking about the “Energy Landscape of Iowa”. Sessions will include: Utility Scale Solar in Missouri, Natural Gas Rates, Conversion from Coal to Natural Gas in Ames, and Online Customer Interactions at Algona Municipal Utilities. The conference will wrap up Thursday with Dave Swanson stressing the importance of Safety.

The 3rd Annual Energy Conference is right around the corner starting on November 3rd. We have an interesting group of topics and speakers scheduled for the three days. While we hope you are planning on attending for the content alone, there will be representatives from over 20 companies participating in the vendor reception as well as sponsoring additional aspects of the conference.

Join us November 17-19 for the 21st Annual Water & Wastewater Operator’s Workshop.
We have planned an impressive line-up of topics and speakers starting with LimnoTech presenting about the algal bloom in Toledo, Ohio.
Wednesday’s sessions include: Leak Locating Technology, I & I Reduction in Dubuque, Retrofitting Treatment Plants, Trenchless Technology-Pipe Bursting and Hydrants 101.
The workshop will close Thursday with representatives from the City of Cedar Rapids talking about lessons learned from their flood recovery efforts.
