Electronic Recordkeeping Rule Update!

Posted By IAMU, Monday, January 8, 2024
Effective January 1, 2024, OSHA will require establishments with 100 or more employees in certain high-hazard industries to electronically submit information from their Form 300 Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, and Form 301 Injury and Illness Incident Report to OSHA once a year. These submissions are in addition to submission of Form 300A-Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses.

These are the specific NAICS codes that have the potential to affect a limited number of Iowa’s municipalities. Remember, you must enter all 300 and 301 information in the electronic recordkeeping system with 100 or more employees in that specific NAICS:
  • 2213 Water, Sewage and other systems
  • 4851 Urban Transit Systems
  • 5621 Waste (garbage) Collection
  • 5622 Waste (garbage) treatment and disposal

If you have questions about this or any other recordkeeping rule, please message Margret Meade at mmeade@iamu.org or call at 515.210.6617
