Struggling with transformer sizing decisions and forecasting future capacity needs? Jeff Gorrie, Director of Energy Services at IAMU, developed a comprehensive toolkit over an 18 month APPA DEED grant to help utilities plan transformer purchases, assess current capacity, and forecast future requirements as load growth and EV adoption increase. APPA selected this toolkit for inclusion in their project store—an honor reserved for only 2% of all project submissions. Join Jeff for a live webinar and demo Wednesday, August 27, 12 - 1 PM CST to see how this toolkit can support your utility's transformer planning and decision-making process. Paul Zummo, APPA's Director of Research and Development, will provide additional context on the project's development and applications.Register at: https://my.publicpower.org/s/community-event?id=a1YUT000005467B2AQ Pricing: FREE for DEED Members / $99 APPA Members / $199 NonmembersThanks to the project committee who made this project possible: Steve Grandgenett (Algona Municipal Utilities), Heath Vileta (Algona Municipal Utilities), Rod Vitzthum (Algona Municipal Utilities), Joel Zook (Iowa Energy Fund), Matt Hein (Cedar Falls Utilities), Soham Vanage (Cedar Falls Utilities), Krysten Reid (Cedar Falls Utilities), Collin Wilson (Eldridge Electric / Water Utility), Jody Coffman (Eldridge Electric / Water Utility), Chris DesPlanques (Indianola Municipal Utilities), Mike Metcalf (Indianola Municipal Utilities), Isaiah Borel (Linn County REC), Mark Beauchamp (Utility Finance Solutions), Jared Masker (Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities), Michael Neuhaus (Linn Country REC ). by EMCInsurance When the weather turns wet, your floors can turn dangerous fast. The good news? A few simple steps can go a long way to keeping your business safe and injury-free. CLICK HERE to visit the EMC website to read the whole story.
