IAMU offers a wide variety of training opportunities for water and wastewater operators and managers.

• Water and Wastewater Operators' Training Workshop
  Three-day workshop held annually the third week of November.
• Advanced Water Treatment Workshop
  One-day workshop held at the IAMU offices in Ankeny in March.
• Advanced Water Distribution Workshop
  One-day workshop held at the IAMU offices in Ankeny in March.
• Water Distribution Workshops
  One-day hands-on workshops held on the 10-acre IAMU Training Field in Ankeny. There is usually one workshop in May and another in September.
• Water Leak Detection Workshops
  One-day hands-on workshops held on the 10-acre IAMU Training Field in Ankeny. There is usually one workshop in May and another in September.
• Consumer Confidence Report Workshops

IAMU represents our water system members’ interests through participation on the following committees: Water Security Workgroup, Iowa Joint Operator Certification Committee, Source Water Protection Committee, and Iowa State Hazard Mitigation Team.
