IAMU Welcomes New Staff Members

Posted By IAMU, Tuesday, June 7, 2016

IAMU has had several additions to staff in the last few months.

Jamie Van Dusseldorp joined the association on April 25th as the new Staff Accountant. Jamie graduated in May of 2015 from Iowa State University where she majored in Accounting. After graduation, she worked with Accounts Receivable at RightStuf, before taking an internship at Jasper Construction Services gaining invaluable insight into every aspect of the accounting department. Jamie was born in Des Moines and raised near Newton.  She enjoys spending time with her corgi, Waffles. She is most looking forward to getting to know everyone at IAMU and working with different utilities across Iowa. She may be contacted at jvandusseldorp@iamu.org or the office number - (515) 289-1999.

Dave Eaton joined the association on April 29th as the new Risk Improvement Representative.  Prior to joining IAMU, Dave worked for the City of Ames as the city's Risk Manager for nearly 5 years.  Prior to his position in Ames, his private sector experience spanned 30-plus years of responsibility over risk management, safety and insurance.  Dave is looking forward to getting out and visiting with our membership to help them lower their risk exposure and insurance costs.  An Iowa native, Dave’s home town is Burlington and he currently lives in Ames.  Dave is a graduate of Truman State University, where he majored in Business Administration.  His other designations include Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer.  Dave enjoys watching all types of auto racing and driving his ’67 Chevy Camaro to local car shows and cruise nights.  He may be contacted at deaton@iamu.org, his office number - (515) 289-5201, or his cell number - (319) 850-9000.

Nathan Berry joined the association on June 6th as one of our new Safety Specialists. Nathan has worked in the safety field as a loss control representative and as a casualty claims specialist at Nationwide Insurance.  Previous experience in the construction industry allowed him to become certified as an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer.  Born in Newton and raised on a farm in Illinois, he now lives in West Des Moines.  He enjoys activities like soccer, visiting craft breweries and playing pool. Nathan may be contacted at nberry@iamu.org or the office number at (515) 289-1999.
